Aptos Acquires Palette, Japan's Leading Blockchain, to Become Exclusive Blockchain Provider for Expo 2025 Osaka

Aptos officially enters the Japanese market with the acquisition of HashPalette Inc. a subsidiary of HashPort Inc. and the Palette blockchain.HashPalette has built strong relationships with major Japanese companies, including KDDI.

Palette chain migration

Under the agreement, HashPort will migrate the Palette chain and its applications to the Aptos network. This migration is more than just a technical upgrade, it's designed to give Japanese developers and creators the resources they need to build even more amazing projects on a global scale.

By joining the Aptos ecosystem, the Palette Chain ecosystem will gain enhanced scalability, stronger security, and a comprehensive set of development tools that will allow them to innovate and grow their projects like never before.

Aptos to Power Digital Wallet for Expo 2025

Integration of the Palette chain ecosystem with Aptos is expected to be complete by January 2025, just in time for Expo 2025, which will be held in Osaka from April to October 2025 - the largest and most prestigious international exhibition expected to attract more than 28 million visitors.Aptos will be the the exclusive blockchain to support the Expo 2025 digital wallet.

The partnership will enable Expo attendees to interact with NFTs, digital assets, and decentralized applications through the Expo 2025 Digital Wallet powered by Aptos. Users will be able to unlock features such as pavilion bookings, ticketing, loyalty programs and digital collectibles.
