The Aptos Foundation and Singaporean tech giant Alibaba Cloud are enhancing Web3 accessibility in the Asia Pacific region. The partnership stems from a shared passion to bring new expertise, resources and inspiration to emerging developers in the region.
Aliyun has selected the Aptos Foundation as its leading blockchain sponsor for all Web3-related projects in the Aliyun Accelerator Program. In this role, the Aptos Foundation will provide ecosystem funding support and expert advice for outstanding Aptos-based projects that show real promise.
As part of this collaboration, the Aptos Foundation will also work with Aliyun to launch Asia's first co-branded Move developer community to further drive mass adoption of the smart contract programming language in the region.
Originally built at Meta, the Move programming language was designed to evolve, improve performance, and automate web3 security enhancements while rapidly and continuously improving the development experience and built-in language.Move has gained tremendous traction in Asia since its debut; over the years, hundreds of developers have organized Move hackathons, workshops, and other events across Asia. Now, the Aptos Foundation and Aliyun will officially unite the Move community across the Asia-Pacific region in preparation for the next chapter of Web3.
"As the Aptos Foundation focuses on accelerating mass adoption across the Asia-Pacific region, we look forward to taking the next step in working with Aliyun," said Bashar Lazaar, Head of Ecosystems and Grants at the Aptos Foundation. "We are eager to see and support game-changing ideas from the leading developers of the future."
These initiatives are just the beginning, and the Aptos Foundation will continue to work with Aliyun to create more events, hackathons, and other special moments for the Asia Pacific development community to unite, support each other, improve skills, and gain inspiration.
